Netball game was close

Brisbane Water Secondary College Woy Woy Campus' girls netball team played against Wadalba High School in the State Knockout Competition.

The game was close but the win went to Wadalba.

The BWSC girls played well in hot, humid conditions and they found it difficult to overcome a five-minute slump in form in the second quarter.

The girls came back winning both the third and fourth quarters, but they ran out of time.

With five minutes more the score would have favoured their team.

Aimee Cooke showed great defence and Stephanie Kearnes displayed a fighting spirit by not giving up, while Rebecca Dawes tirelessly to brought the ball down the court.
