Women's network holds forums

The Woy Woy Older Women's Network will hold a series of discussion forums with guest speakers who have knowledge and interest in older women's issues.

On September 1, Val Cupitt will talk of communication between young and old in society.

Ms Cupitt is a voluntary community worker who has a degree in social science and is currently studying for a master's degree in welfare.

On October 6, Carol Baker, a member of Toastmasters, will speak on "Speaking up for yourself".

On November 3, Peninsula community activist Heather McKenzie will talk about public utilities and the environment.

Heather is an active worker for the environment who monitors decisions by Gosford Council for their impact on Peninsula ratepayers.

Each session will be held from 10.15am to 12.30pm at Woy Woy Leagues Club, with morning tea provided.

A gold coin donation will be appreciated.
