Pelicans put off by the cold

Local Masters swimming club, Ettalong Pelicans, is currently experiencing lack of support partly due to the cold weather, coupled with heating problems at the Woy Woy indoor pool.

However, the heating problems have now been fixed and the club is enjoying warm weather for its Tuesday and Thursday evening swim meetings.

The return of old members is expected and new members will be invited to come along and experience the fitness and fun swim nights.

The Pelicans is a long-established Masters Swimming Club with a fine record of social activities and competitive swimming.

The club's annual swimming carnival, a popular event in the NSW Masters Swimming calendar attracting swimmers from over 20 clubs, has been moved from its usual early September date to the new time of October 14.

Further enquiries should be directed to Bill or Helen Heber on 4341 9897 or Gordon Ferguson on 4369 3194.
