BMX riders well placed

At the end of five rounds in the BMX zone championships, six Peninsula riders are well placed to continue on to the State Championships in October.

The five rounds are contested at Terrigal, Port Macquarie, Taree, Maitland and Port Stephens.

The Peninsula riders, Patrick White, Andrew Hollinworth, Jeremy MacAnally, Ronnie Johnson, Danny Serret and DJ Hogan, all ride for the Terrigal Club.

Three of the riders won their divisions.

Patrick White, 9, placed first in the expert division for his age, while DJ Hogan, 10, placed first in Novice.

Ronnie Johnson was first in the open division.

Danny Serret, 12, placed second in the expert division, while Andrew Hollinworth, 14, was fifth in expert.

Jeremy MacAnally placed fifth in the open division.

DJ Hogan, Patrick White and Danny Serret all attend Woy Woy South Public School.
