Tough event at Woy Woy

It's recognised worldwide that the toughest event to win is your own club's minor singles championship.

This was evident this year at Woy Woy Bowling Club with the quality of players and the standard of matches played first class.

It's all behind us now with the semi-final results being Neil Johnson 31, Keith Miller 25, Ken Poole 31, and Mark Harding 28.

Witnessed by a large crowd of interested spectators the final was fantastic, very close until Ken Poole finally managed to edge away to a 31-21 victory over Neil Johnson.

Woy Woy Bowling Club's Fred Hawkesworth has been appointed to the zone coaching academy committee.

Fred joins another of the club's accredited coaches, Jack Parkinson, on this prestigious committee.
