Soccer teams make finals

A number of Peninsula soccer teams have made it to the finals.

Umina 10As finished the season second, Woy Woy 10Gs finished second, Umina 11Bs finished first and Woy Woy 13Cs finished second at the end of their season.

They all won the right to go into major semi-finals played at the weekend.

Umina 10Cs finished third, the 14As finished fourth and Woy Woy 15As finished third at the end of their season. All played in minor semi-finals at the weekend.

The winner of the major semi-final goes on to the grand final in two weeks while the loser plays the winner of the minor semi-final next weekend.

The losers of the minor semi-final will be able to hang up their boots until next year.

In the older age groups, Umina All Age 3 play off against Kariong.

Umina All Age 1 are in the grand final against Wyoming and All Age 4 are in the grand final against Gosford on the same day.
