PCYC to hold annual general meeting

The annual general meeting of the Police and Citizens' Youth Club in Umina will be held at 6pm on Thursday, March 7.

The meeting will be held at the PCYC at 101 Osborne Ave, Umina.

Volunteers are being sought to join the club committee.

The club committee is elected for a two-year term and consists of a president, a vice-president, one male and one female aged between 16 and 25, and up to eight adult club members

The president's role was listed as including running meetings effectively, contributing ideas for activities and programs, recruitment, fundraising and networking, supporting younger members of the committee and helping the club manager.

The vice-president's role included supporting the president, liaising with young club members and participants in the PCYC Youth Forum, and providing the perspective of young people in the club and community.

To be eligible for election, candidates must have been members at the time the notice of the annual meeting was given.

Election will be subject to successful completion of the PCYC volunteer screening processes, including criminal record and working with children checks.
