Marine Rescue volunteers recognised
Nine volunteers with Marine Rescue Central Coast have been recognised for their outstanding service at the February unit meeting.
Mr Paul Degeling was presented with the National Medal by zone divisional operations manager Mr Steve Raymond, recognising his 15 years of service.
Certificates were issued for training achievements to Marine Rescue radio operators Mr Bill Rathmell and Mr David van Gemert.
Marine Rescue crew Mr Warren Mann, Ms Suzanne Portefaix, Mr Pavel Khmelinin, Mr Michael Kerr, Ms Brooke Heyward and Mr Antonio Giorgio.
Mr Kerr was also named as Member of the Month for his outstanding contributions to Marine Rescue Central Coast.
The two February Boat Licence courses have been completely booked out, and arrangements are being made for additional courses to be held later this year, said unit publicity officer Mr David Wicks.
