Peninsula Youth Services space is officially open

The Regional Youth Support Services organisation has officially opened its Peninsula Youth Services on Friday, February 16.

The service will use a "dedicated space" adjacent to Woy Woy oval, where it "aims to provide essential support for vulnerable young people aged 12-17 years across the Peninsula".

It would offer "a range of targeted intervention strategies, case planning, engaging group activities, and transformative life skill and independence-building programs", according to service chief executive Ms Kim McLoughry.

She said the Peninsula Youth Services would set itself apart "with a unique service model that takes a holistic, client- centered approach".

"By recognising and addressing individual needs, the organisation fosters collaboration within the community to create positive outcomes for young people.

"The goal is to promote independence and build resilience, offering a diverse range of services to enhance the wellbeing of the local youth."

Ms McLoughry said: "By establishing a strong presence in Woy Woy, the organisation is committed to working collaboratively with the local community to create a supportive and inclusive environment for the youth."

Located in Woy Woy, the centre is a hub for youth to access comprehensive support services, empowering them to thrive and contribute positively to the community.
