February rainfall down by one third so far

A total of 54.7mm of rain has fallen on the Peninsula in the first half of February.

This is about one third of the February average of 157mm, according to figures supplied by Mr Jim Morrison of Umina.

Highest falls were 21.5mm recorded on Friday, February 16, and 15.7mm recorded on Tuesday, February 6.

Total rainfall for the year to date was 153.7mm, 44 per cent less than the average end of February figure of 275mm.
