Parents encouraged to participate in donation drive
Ettalong Public School principal Ms Jodie Campbell is encouraging parents to participate in the Stewart House Donation Drive.
"Each year 1600 NSW public school children-in-need attend Stewart House," she said.
"During their stay, they are provided with dental, optical, hearing, medical treatment and emotional support.
"This is balanced with health and educational programs to help boost their self-esteem and promote a healthier lifestyle.
"This experience provides children with a much-needed break from their current circumstances."
She said that, while the NSW Department of Education provides infrastructure and staffing support, all other costs were met from charitable donations.
Ms Campbell said all Ettalong families had received an envelope to donate to Stewart House.
Additional envelopes were available at the school office.
She said that families donating $2 would be entered in a draw to win a $4000 holiday travel voucher.
"Please ensure you return the envelope to school by no later than Wednesday May 14.
"Don't forget to complete your details on the back of the envelope."
