Art-Full Women announce upcoming activities

The Peninsula-based Art-Full Women group has announced a number of activities over coming months.

Coffee mornings are held bimonthly at the Ettalong Diggers.

"The February meeting attracted 18 women where lots of ideas and interesting conversations took place, including many workshop requests," said media officer Ms Lindy Batterham

"Facilitators in creative writing, silk screen printing, humour therapy, mindfulness, mosaic making, and urban sketching are being sought.

"The next meet is on Wednesday, April 9, and all local women around 55 years and older are welcome to join in."

Singing and humming will be held on Tuesday, April 1.

It is part of Sing For the Love of Singing, an occasional session run by Ms Julie Ivison.

A two-day workshop to "create your own art book" will be run by Ms Therese Gabriel Wilkins over April 5-6 in Woy Woy.

"Participants are encouraged to collect items like stamps, bits and bobs of wrapping paper, ribbons and personal items and act like a bower bird in preparation for this workshop," said Ms Batterham.

A one-day workshop will be conducted by Ms Nicole de Mestre about Making a Rag Bag, which involves re-using fabrics to crotchet into a bag.

"Once the technique is acquired, it can be applied to many other items around the home such as rugs, bathmats and wall hangings."

Details of the variety of activities including tap-dancing, ukelele performance and violin lessons can be found at www.artfullwomen.com.au.
