Man faces court over alleged stabbing
A man faced court last week following an investigation into an alleged stabbing at Woy Woy last month.
He was charged with affray, and wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm following an incident on Thursday evening, February 27.
Emergency services were called to Ocean Beach Rd, Woy Woy, on that day following reports of an assault.
Officers from Brisbane Water Police District were told an 18-year-old man was stabbed at a home before he was taken to Woy Woy railway station.
NSW Ambulance located the man with a stab wound to his neck and he was taken to Gosford Hospital in a critical condition.
He has since been discharged from hospital.
Following inquiries, police arrested a 26-year-old man at an East Gosford unit on Monday, March 17.
He was also charged with shoplifting in relation to an earlier incident.
He was refused bail to appear before Gosford Local Court.
