Police investigate stabbing at Woy Woy
Police were investigating a stabbing at Woy Woy reported on Thursday, February 27.
Emergency services were called to a home on Ocean Beach Rd at 9:30pm, following reports of an assault.
Officers from Brisbane Water Police District were told an 18-year-old man was stabbed in the neck before he was taken to Woy Woy railway station.
NSW Ambulance attended and located the man with a stab wound.
He was taken to Gosford Hospital, where he was admitted in a critical condition.
Following inquiries, police arrested a 24-year-old man in Wendy Dr, Point Clare, a short time later.
He was taken to Gosford Police Station, before being released pending further investigations.
Inquiries led police to believe those involved in the incident are known to each other.
Police appealed for anyone with information about the incident to come forward and contact local police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
