President wants Umina United to remain a family club
New Umina United soccer club president Mr Danny Nelson says he wantes to see the club continue as a "true family club".
Originally from the UK, he has lived in Umina for the past 10 years.
"When my family moved from Sydney, we only knew a couple of people, but through this incredible club, we've built friendships and made lifelong connections," he said.
"I've played, coached, and served on the committee as gear steward, and now I have the honour and big responsibility of carrying on the great work of those before me as president.
"My passion is football but, more than that, I want to see Umina United continue to be a true family club - a place where generations come to play, support, and belong.
"For my family, it's exactly that.
"Both my kids and my wife Tash play here, and she also helps run the canteens.
"So for us, it's a full family commitment.
"I'm committed to developing our young players, strengthening our senior teams, and making sure our club stays connected to the community."
