Churces to vote on service times

The Central Coast South Uniting Churches at Umina and Kincumber will vote on service times after each Sunday service on March 23.

The current service times of 9am at Umina and 11am at Kincumber were adopted on a trial basis for three months to the end of March.

These times were intended to enable a part-time minister to lead worship twice a month at both worship centres, rather than once a month previously, thus deepening contact and rapport with both congregations.

They were to support greater flexibility in worship leadership, enabling other leaders to lead worship at both centres if they so wished.

It was hoped they would strengthen unity and fellowship between the congregations.

The vote will be conducted across both congregations as a single entity.

The result will be determined by the total vote across both congregations, counting only the votes of those who attend on the day.

Church Council will then act within a day or two to set and announce the service times from April 6 onwards.

The service on March 30 will be a combined service at Kincumber at 10am.
