Ettalong students selected as Aussie Rules reps

Ettalong Public School students William Heap and Cooper Guttenbeil have been selected in a team of 17 students to represent the combined Central Coast zones at the Sydney North Australian Football trials on March 31.

They attended the Boys Combined Central Coast Zones Australian Football Trials at Passage Rd oval, Bateau Bay on Thursday, March 6.

The Sydney Swans development team were there to assist throughout the day.

"All the boys who attended showed tremendous effort, stamina and passion playing a number of games in the heat," said football convenor Mr Matt Boutland.

"The numbers were up this year to over 50, which was great to see, and a number of league, union, basketball and soccer players who trialled went well for first time players.

"They were all extremely respectful to the development team and were positive throughout the trials.

"All students demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship to each other throughout the games."
