Umina veteran pairs play final
The final of the Umina Beach Men's Bowling Club Veteran Pairs Championship was played in hot, gusty conditions on the afternoon of Saturday, November 18.
The final was played between the pair of Lindsey Hicks and Ted Gentle and the pair of Larry Johnston and George Boni.
"The game ebbed and flowed, but the more experienced team of Lindsey and Ted always kept their lead," said club secretary Mr Peter Springett.
"Larry and George came back a few times, but too many short bowls took the pressure off.
"It was a great game, which was won by Lindsey Hicks and Ted Gentle, 19-9."
