Students compete in school chess championship
St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School recently sent 14 students to Central Coast Schools Chess Championship at Green Point.
Although the school did not place in the competition, the students played well, according to principal Ms Nicole Davies.
Three students from Year 6 won five out of seven rounds, and not one student left without at least two wins.
"All 14 students had a great day playing chess and supporting their fellow teammates with integrity and enthusiasm."
