Christmas lights to raise money for Vision Australia
Shirley and Noel Crockett have turned on their Christmas lights again at 380 Booker Bay Rd, Booker Bay, to raise money for Vision Australia.
"We have been doing the lights for 25 years, but not always to the extent it is now," said Ms Crockett.
"We have been raising money for Vision Australia since 2015 when about $630 raised.
"We raised $2752 last year.
"I do not know how many visitors we had, but I gave out 3000 candy canes and other sweets to children."
Ms Crockett said: "I like to have a new event for the children.
"We have again introduced the competition to count the Santas in the display.
"If you are within the range, you will receive a prize.
"And of course there will be the sweets for the children when they crawl through the archway.
"Santa will be coming from 7pm until 9pm on December 22 and 23.
"Santa was a great success last year.
"He was still here at 10pm.
"There were so many children waiting to see him, he could not get away."
After so many years, Ms Crockett said: "We have had several families bringing their children to see the lights and they came when they were children."
