Charity bowls day raises $2040
The monthly Ettalong Charity Bowls day on Sunday, November 19, was attended by 56 bowlers, and supporters including Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch.
"We raised another $2040 for Central Coast Kids in Need," said organiser Mr Ken Dixon.
"This included a $1000 donation from the Umina Blue Swimmers who bowled with us on the day."
He said: "Our cooks Dave Downey and Bob Willis did a wonderful job, as did our many helpers.
"Big winners on the day were Garry McNamara, Dolly and George Preston who won the Wednesday Bowlers prize.
"Fred Rutherford won the Spider while Mick Petho's group won the winning rink draw."
The final charity bowls day for the year will be held on Sunday, December 17, when the club will hand over a cheque with the proceeds of its charity days to the Central Coast Kids in Need.
