Men's Shed thicknesser is reconditioned
The thicknesser at the Umina Beach Men's Shed has been reconditioned thanks to the dedication of one of its members.
"Our member Mr Bill Wood expressed his concern about the condition of the Shed's hard working thicknesser machine and proceeded to give it his personal attention," said Shed secretary Mr Vic Brown.
He said it turned out to be an arduous task which "involved various instruction manuals, a different requirement of parts than first envisaged and fair bit of work".
"But Bill Wood cracked it and returned the machine to good working order."
