Retirement planning workshop

A free community workshop on retirement planning will be held from 6.30pm on Wednesday, August 15, at the Everglades Country Club.

Aimed at those planning to retire in the next five of years or those who have just retired, the workshop focuses on the four dimensions of a happy, secure retirement; health, finance, relationships and activities.

Financial adviser Mr Troy Chapman said he understood that retirement was less about ageing and more about how you adapt to these changes.

"As we are now living longer, it is likely that we will spend more time in retirement," said Mr Chapman.

"It is therefore essential that you have a plan to help manage these life changes, and secure the lifestyle you want for your future," he said.

Topics that will be discussed include ways to guard your health and promote longevity, keys to having enjoyable and positive relationships, tips for keeping active with purposeful activities for growth and wellbeing and the importance of financial retirement planning.

The workshop is conducted in a relaxed and fun format encouraging attendees to participate in practical exercises to demonstrate the relevance to their personal circumstances.

Places are strictly limited due the format of the workshop and interested attendees should register by August 13 to Kellie on 0434 924 929.
