New space for creativity and healing
A new "space for creativity, healing, and personal transformation" has opened in Woy Woy.
The venue will host artists' exhibitions, spoken word performances, and lectures and workshops with a focus on holistic well-being, with a therapeutic space for inner growth, expression, and healing.
Theia, in Railway St, has opened with "Ambiguity", a show by Woy Woy artist Mr Gordon Cumming which runs until December 10.
It will be followed by "Gifted", a collection of local artists and artisans showcasing small works, ceramics and jewellery offering handmade, unique and intentional gifts until January 10.
The venue will hold Resonance: A Night of Spoken Word as a regular event, "a celebration of vulnerability, courage, and connection, allowing individuals to experience the profound impact of shared expression in an intimate and supportive setting".
A lecture series will include topics such as naturopathy, heart-centred financial advice, astrology, branding, and coaching, while workshops are planned including "breathwork, mindfulness practices, and other empowering tools for self-discovery".
"From therapeutic engagement, to art and storytelling, we are thrilled to be able to offer an ever-evolving space that celebrates the brave souls who seek to connect to their community with intention and authenticity," said co-director Ms Lauren McDonnell.
