Morning tea raises $600 for breast cancer foundation

A Umina aged care facility has held a fundraising morning tea for Breast Cancer Awareness fundraising.

The morning tea, which included cup cakes and lucky door prizes, was held at Pam Palmer House at Peninsula Village.

There was merchandise for sale, with staff and residents raising $600 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

"This was a very important morning tea for us, as some individuals present had been personally affected by breast cancer, one of whom shared with us the difficult challenges of breast cancer," said chief executive Mr Colin Osborne.

"Happily, she is now cancer-free."
