A sprinkling of rain almost every day
The first third of the month of October has had a sprinkling of rain almost every day.
However, this has amounted to a total of just 8.4mm, according to figures supplied by Mr Jim Morrison of Umina.
Only two days in the first 11 days, October 6 and 7, saw no rainfall recorded.
Just one day, Thursday, October 10, had more than one millimetre of rain, with 4.0mm recorded.
The 20-year average rainfall for October is 78mm.
The year-to-date total of 1213.6mm is 9.6 per cent above the end of October average of 1029mm, and 6.5 per cent below the annual average of 1298mm.
