Charity day raises $4000 for Guide Dogs

The annual Guide Dogs Charity Day held on Sunday, September 29, at Ettalong Bowling Club has raised about $4000 for the organisation.

"With around 100 bowlers on the greens, our supporters raised in the order of $4000 for the Guide Dogs from raffles, auctions, donations and merchandise sales," said organiser Mr Ken Dixon.

"The Spider was won by Phil McWhirter, while Chris Rae, the Keenans and Suzanne Wales won the Lucky Rink.

"We had a visit by one of the Guide Dogs as well as assistance dog Baby Bear.

"It was a fun day all round. We hope to do it again in 2025."
