Toilet upgrades taking place at Ettalong school
Student toilets at Ettalong Public School are being upgraded over the next couple of months.
Work on the K-2 toilets started on Wednesday, June 4, and was expected to take five weeks.
Work on the Years 3-6 toilets would start after that.
The project will include re-tiling and the refurbishment of the existing partitions, toilet bowls, and urinals.
"This is a much-anticipated upgrade that will greatly enhance our school facilities," said school principal Ms Jodie Campbell.
"There may be some noise during this time.
"Contractors will be erecting fencing around the bathrooms they are working on to ensure safety during this process."
In other work taking place at the school, Ms Campbell said that a recent tree management and arborist report had required maintenance and pruning of seven trees.
