Lions club has strong sales of Christmas cakes
The Woy Woy Peninsula Lions Club has experienced strong sales of its Christmas cakes and puddings this year.
Only a few puddings remained unsold, said Lions Club cake co-ordinator Mr Ian Taylor.
These would be distributed to Mary Mac's Place and the Salvation Army, he said.
The club raised more than $3000 through the sales, which will go to club projects.
Mr Taylor said that, while the club had had this success, it had been advised that it could not run its car boot sale at Rogers Park this month.
He said the club had not been given the reason, but assumed it was to allow the carpark to be resurfaced.
