Charity bowlers raise more than $11,000
Charity bowlers at Ettalong Bowling Club raised more than $11,000 last year.
"We held our final event for 2024 on December 15 with plenty of bowlers and supporters in attendance," said organiser Mr Ken Dixon.
He said the bowlers raised $1275 on the day for Central Coast Kids in Need.
"For the year to November 2024, we have raised over $11,100 for Kids in Need."
At the December event, the winning rink draw was won by Peter Beverage, Bev Foan, Gai Harris and Cathie Aubrey, he said.
"Cheryl Catchpool won the Scotch donated by the Woodies.
"The new bowler award was won by Dianne Zappa.
"Mark Endacott cleaned up the Hamper."
Mr Dixon said the Brisbane Water Bridge Club supported the day.
"One of their members made an anonymous $1000 donation to Kids in Need."
The next charity bowls event will be held on Sunday, January 19.
