Recognised for Guide Dog fundraising support

Country Women's Association Woy Woy branch member Ms Angela Allen has been presented with an achievement award by Guide Dogs NSW.

The award was made in recognition of her commitment and involvement in Central Coast fundraising activities.

Central Coast guide dogs support group president Ms Merran Rudder said: "Angela, with her previous dog Piper and new Guide Dog Jolie, has played such a significant role as an active member of the support group."

She said Ms Allen became involved with fundraising with the group in 2010, undertaking numerous speaking presentations at the local schools, Probus and other community senior groups.

In the past financial year, the support group raised $65,000 through a variety of fundraising activities.
