Rainfall just short of month's average

Rainfall for the month of July was just 5.6mm short of the month's average at the end of last week.

The month's rainfall stood at 73.4mm, compared to the month's average of 79mm, according to figures supplied by Mr Jim Morrison of Umina.

Only 1.2mm of rain had fallen in the 10 days prior to Friday, July 19.

Rain had fallen every day for the first nine days of the month.

The year-to-date total stands at 1072.9mm, which is already about 20 per cent more than the average July-end figure.
