Rugby club announces coaches for next year

Woy Woy Rugby Club has announced its coaches for 2024.

First XV Men's coach will be Nigel Mainland.

First X Women's coach will be Iain Russell, supported by Alex Muirey.

Club president Mr Phil Burgess said the new committee voted in the coaches at its first meeting on Wednesday, November 8.

"I would like to thank Waisale Qalulu for his hard work and dedication with the 1st XV Men's team over the last few years, through difficult times.

"We wish the best to Wais in future endeavours and hope to still see you around our club as you will always be a part of our Pride of Lions."

In a note to club members, Waisale Qalulu said: "I've really enjoyed my time working at the club over the past few years and I'm confident that the club will go on to do great things.

"I just wanted to send a short note to say thank you for the opportunity and to pass on my best wishes to the new coach."
