Disabled surfers association holds volunteer training
Central Coast Disabled Surfers Association will hold volunteer training from 8:45am to 11:30am on Saturday, November 25.
A theory session will be followed by in-water training.
"We will give you an overview of the DSA and how we operate, explain the significance of the different coloured rash shirts and wristbands we use, and the makeup of teams," said association president Ms Rae Fletcher.
"Once on the beach, we will show you the process of introducing our surfer to the team, getting them onto the board, forming a channel and taking them in for a surf with a tandem rider.
"Bring your swimmers, a wetsuit if you have one (or borrow one of ours) and most of all bring your smile."
