Remembrance Day service held at Vietnam memorial
A Remembrance Day service was conducted at the Ettalong Beach Vietnam memorial at 11am on Saturday by the Vietnam Veterans Peacekeepers and Peacemakers Association, Central Coast sub-branch.
The service commenced with a minute's silence followed by prayers from the Reverend Arthur Pearce.
Guest speaker was Mr Richard Gray, a former president of the Vietnam Veterans Association.
He spoke of the importance of maintaining Remembrance Day services, particularly so that young people would learn of the sacrifices of their forebears.
Wreaths were then laid and the Last Post and the National Anthem were played.
The Australian Cadet Unit Erina for providing personnel to assist the association with the service.
