Grandmother and granddaughter receive awards

A grandmother and her granddaughter have received awards for long service at a Umina aged care facility.

"We celebrated our April Staff Awards with some staff marking five and 10-year work anniversaries,' said Peninsula Villages chief executive Mr Shane Neaves.

"Denise Horton received her five-year service award with her granddaughter and Vicki George celebrated her 10-year anniversary with us.

"Denise works in Pam Palmer House as a dedicated care service team member supporting our care residents and Vicki is a member of our catering team.

"Loyal and long-serving team members not only provide great leaders for other newer team members, but also allow us to increase our continuity of care for our residents as they become familiar faces and names throughout the Village," Mr Neaves said.
