Soccer secretary wins administrator award
The secretary of a Woy Woy soccer club has won an Australia-wide competition as Administrator of the Year.
Woy Woy Football Club's Ms Dawn Butler Ms Butler was nominated by the club's director of fundraising Ms Kristy Harper.
Ms Butler beat out hundreds of other applicants to take out the award, Ms Harper said.
"Dawn and her husband Phil have been the heart and soul of Woy Woy Football Club for the past 30 years," she said.
"They have actively campaigned for the new Woy Woy Football Clubhouse which will be opened at Austin Butler Oval in a few weeks for the past 25 years.
"They are the first to be there and the last to leave every weekend.
"Our club would not run without these amazing people, and this award is a fantastic acknowledgement of their efforts," Ms Harper said.
Over the years Ms Butler has been involved in numerous roles with the club from helping set up the home ground to running the club canteen.
When Ms Butler is not helping the club committee, she can be found playing in an all-ages women's team.
