Rotary club forms committee for Opera in the Arboretum

The Rotary Club of Woy Woy will form a new committee to coordinate next year's Opera in the Arboretum, following the recent death of long-time event organiser Mr John Greenway.

The annual event regularly brings some of the best Australian and international operatic talents to Pearl Beach in the club's major fund-raising event of the year.

"We are forming a new committee to organise next year's Opera in the Arboretum," said club publicity officer Mr Vic Deeble.

"Every club member will be involved in the organising of this event and the committee will have sub-committees to look after parts of the event from ticket sales, sponsorship, promotion and logistics.

"This is to be everyone's event," Mr Deeble said.

Mr Deeble said that club members who would like to be involved with a specific sub-committee had been asked to send an expression of interest to Mr Don Tee.
