Bowls event held over three days

The sixth annual Kingfisher event for women was held over three days at Umina Beach Bowling Club from July 21 to 23.

Teams entered from all over the Central Coast and as far away as Bargo, Picton, Old Bar, Harrington and St Johns Park.

The competition was fierce and the deciding outcome was close.

President Elaine Manning presented the prizes to the winners.

The overall winners for the three days was Bev Alien, Yvonne Gordon, Dot Craber and Betty Cusack from Umina Beach Women's Bowling Club.

Coming a close second was Ruby Sartoretto, Connie Filipanni, Gina Piva and Maria Giorgi from St Johns Park Women's Bowling Club.

Third was Val Cleary, Val Brown, Pat Kerslake and Jean Catling from Bateau Bay Women's Bowling Club.

Fourth was Mary Ellis. Pat Walsh, Sue 0'Connor and Audrey Tucker from Everglades Women's Bowling Club.
