Locksmith changes plazas

A locksmith has moved to Deepwater Plaza, after eight years at the Peninsula Plaza.

Affordable Lock and Key Locksmiths proprietor Steven Krinks said that he was looking for newer, larger and brighter premises in a busier shopping centre and Deepwater Plaza was ideal for his needs.

"Shoppers at this centre are not just here for food shopping, they also look at the other specialty shops in the centre," he said.

"We chose to stay in Woy Woy because that is where our customer base is and we see Woy Woy as the commercial hub of the Peninsula," he said.

Steven employs a master locksmith, Alan Sillars, with 32 years experience.

Now that the shop is open seven days and on Thursday evenings, he has taken on Jim Green as a new staff member.

Steven also operates a mobile workshop and is available for emergency after hours needs.

Steven said he had seen an increase in concern over law and order over the eight years he had been in business.

There was now more interest in personal security, with an increase in the purchase of security doors, window locks and safes.
