Refill business opens
A printer cartridge refill business has opened a new store in Woy Woy.
Cartridge World proprietor Col Moran had been wanting to have a presence on the Peninsula for two years but waited to be certain of the position of his new outlet and that he had the right person to manage it.
This all came together recently and the Woy Woy business commenced trading on August 6 with former Peninsula resident Graham Fisher as the manager.
Cartridge World also operates in East Gosford.
Graham and Col are both former bank employees who worked together in local branches and became disillusioned with the way banks changed and how they treated their employees.
They selected the Peninsula as their next base because they saw that there was no other business specialising in cartridge refills in the area and it was a "good business opportunity".
Cartridge World refill and replace inkjet and laser printer cartridges and refill photocopier toner cartridges.
Mr Moran said that many people were unaware of the need to prevent ink cartridges from drying out.
They should not be run completely dry, he said.
If there was to be a delay in refilling, the cartridges should be wrapped in cling wrap and kept in the refrigerator.
With toner cartridges, he advised they be kept in a dark bag or box when removed from the machine.
