Tesch injured in first game of para ice sled hockey
Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch has been injured in her first game of para ice sled hockey.
The game was played with body-checking, "full-on crashing into each other".
Ms Tesch said: "I managed to slash my own leg with my stick after a big crash."
She said she was taken to Emergency at the Mater Hospital.
"I've had fabulous service, including a cup of tea, and am all stitched up."
She said she had a tetanus shot and "a big Band Aid".
"I can't really feel it and am allowed to play tomorrow."
She returned the following day "with lots of protective gear".
