Nine teams compete in national bridge qualifier
Nine teams competed in the Brisbane Water round of the Grand National Open Teams event of the Australian Bridge Federation played on Saturday, June 1.
The event was won by Gosford team Coats, which scored six out of eight wins giving them a comfortable buffer at the close of play.
Local Brisbane Water Bridge Club squad team Fane had five wins and three losses to take second spoot.
Gosford team Heyting filled third place with a six wins and two losses.
A qualifying round is still to be played at Gosford, giving local teams another chance of making the cut.
