CWA branch celebrates 92 years
The Woy Woy branch of the Country Women's Association celebrated its 92nd birthday on Saturday, June 8.
The branch was formed on June 8, 1932, led by Ms Florence Staples, wife of Mr Charles Staples who was Woy Woy Shire president until the end of the previous year.
The founding members of the branch took eight years to raise the money to build the hall that the branch still meets in.
The branch will celebrate with a high tea at the hall on Wednesday, June 12, from 9am to 12pm.
Anyone interested is welcome to "pop in and say hello".
