Convincing defeat at Woy Woy Oval

Woy Woy hosted Terrigal at Woy Woy Oval but the match saw Terrigal convincingly defeat Woy Woy to the tune of 87 points to seven in round six of Central Coast Rugby Union competition played on Saturday, May 25.

It was non-stop scoring for Terrigal for the entire match despite the best efforts by the home team, according to rugby union publicity officer Mr Larry Thomson.

Terrigal scored early and then maintained the attack for the next 80 minutes.

By halftime, Terrigal led by 40 points to seven and even at that stage the match was all sealed up.

Woy Woy did cross for their only try in that first 40 minutes.

Terrigal were able to post a further 47 points in the second stanza and went on to record a handsome victory.

Woy Woy had no answer to their attack.

Best for Woy Woy were lock Harry Burgess, flanker Una Tupou, who scored their try, and centre Guy Blades.

In Premier 2, Terrigal 127 defeated Woy Woy 0 and, in Women's 10s, Terrigal 28 defeated Woy Woy 0.
