Previous runners-up win Minor Pairs final
Barbara Schultz and Jan Ellery have won the Umina Beach Women's Bowling Club's Minor Pairs Final.
"The final was played on May 14, in ideal autumn conditions," said club publicity officer Ms Lesley Swales.
She said the pair had been runners-up several times over the past few years and finally
became winners, defeating Betty Jack and Gay Foulkes.
"The match was very even with not much between the two teams.
"However, Barbara and Jan managed to edge ahead over the last few ends to take out the event."
In the second semi-final played on May 7, Betty Jack and Gay Foulkes defeated Annette Kertz and Kerry Yates to win their place in the final.
"There were some close games throughout the competition," said Ms Swales.
