Students finish Year 6 typing faster than they write
Almost all Year 6 students at Woy Woy South Public School finished the year being able to type faster than they could write with a pen, according to principal Mr Matt Barr
"During stage 2 and 3 all the kids are strongly encouraged to knuckle down and learn to type without looking at their fingers," he said.
"It has been a huge success
"We love it when our students can touch type. They get a photo with the Golden Keyboard."
Those students who broke 50 words per minute earned a signed seat cushion from Mr Barr.
