Free basket and textiles project starts for women
A free basketry and textiles project for women will be held from 10am to 12pm on Friday, February 23, at Woy Woy Scout Hall in North Burge Rd.
The session will introduce a range of textiles and fibre sculpture techniques including eco dying, basketry, slow stitch, embroidery, beading and mixed media.
The Threads of Community Project will be run by Gosford Regional Community Services with further sessions held over 11 Fridays, ending on August 16.
The skills will be used in a final group project, that will be available to exhibit at the end of the year.
The project aims "to build connection, inclusion, capacity and promote wellness".
Materials are supplied.
No experience is necessary, and all abilities are welcome.
