Fire brigade lends a hand in storm clean-up
The NSW Rural Fire Service has been busy lending a hand to NSW State Emergency Service all over the state to help with cleanup efforts after the storms.
In Pearl Beach, it was no different.
The Pearl Beach brigade helped deal with tree branches brought down in Coral Cr by the storms.
The brigade and the Gosford State Emergency Services Unit were advised of a tree leaning dangerously across the downhill side of Crystal Ave and threatening to fall on the roadway.
They decided to pass the work on to Central Coast Council crews to fell and remove.
People driving on Crystal Ave were advised that it had been reduced to one lane on the uphill side of the spilt roadway until the work was complete.
The brigade suggested that, with the return of sunshine and easing of winds, residents could fill up their green bins "with everything that fell out of the sky over the past few days of stormy weather".
