Start the year 'organised, prepared and ready to go'
Brisbane Water Secondary College is encouraging its Woy Woy campus students to "start the year organised, prepared and ready to go".
It has issued required equipment lists for Years 10, 11 and 12, "for year-specific must-haves".
The lists cover workbooks, binders and sleeves, as well as general stationery.
For Year 10, it includes 10 A4 workbooks that are to be margin-lined of 128 pages: six for core subjects, three for electives and one spare.
Maths needs a grid-lined book.
An A4 hardcover binder is needed to "store your books and keep them protected and in good condition".
Plastic sleeves are needed "to keep handouts and worksheet in together and in good nick".
General stationery includes black pens for exams, as well as red, blue and green pens.
A pencil, sharpener and eraser, as well as glue, scissors, ruler and a colour-pack of highlighters are also listed.
A clear pencil case is suggested "as only these can be bought into examinations".
A scientific calculator is required for maths, geography, science and some electives.
The list states that the school has numerous laptop and computer room facilities.
"Any lesson requiring ICT will be accommodated in this way."
Elective specific requirements will be communicated to students in the first week of class.
